Our PTA Mission
To create
bonds within our school community and to
promote educational opportunities for
all of our children. The Stevens PTA is
part of a larger national organization
that works with our state and district
units to advocate for school children
through educational outreach,
fundraising, and community involvement.

What the PTA does
At Stevens
we host a variety of community events,
provide support for teachers and
enrichment opportunities for students,
and encourage widespread participation
in the life of our school. You can
become involved by:
(1) attending gatherings every other month
for information sharing, discussion,
and parent education;
(2)
volunteering your time and
talents to any of our events;
and
(3)
pledging
your financial support to keep our
programs successful
The PTA sponsors the following programs at Stevens:
* History teacher who comes to each classroom, enriching the curriculum
* Vocal music classes, fantastic school-wide concerts
* Instructional Assistants who keep instructor/student ratios low
* School Counselor who allows teachers to focus more on teaching
* Art teacher who brings added art instruction to all the classrooms
* Workshops for teachers on how to teach kids to become better writers
* School directory to foster community among our families
* Afterschool programs to enhance learning in many areas
* Classroom grants for all teachers to use in their classrooms
* And more!
